Hi, I'm Anna
Project manager. Parent. Expat residing in Berlin, Germany.
Some years back, I moved here with my family. What began as a short-term assignment gradually became a new phase of life overseas.
How It Started
Moving to Germany wasn't in the long-range plan. Like many international relocations, it started as a job opportunity and rapidly grew into something far greater.
The initial months were demanding — unfamiliar systems, new routines, new expectations. Daily tasks seemed more intricate than they ought to be.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and plenty of hands-on learning. But gradually, routines began to take shape. We found places that suited us, connected with other families, and started creating something that felt solid.
Why I Built Sunset Linen Studio
Most online guidance was either corporate relocation advice or shallow tourism content. What was missing was an honest, everyday family viewpoint.
This site aims to close that gap—practical guidance grounded in real life in Germany.
What This Site Represents (And Isn't)
This site is about:
- Hands-on insights from living in Germany
- Centered on family life and day-to-day realities
- Updated whenever there are real changes
This site isn't:
- A tourism board resource
- A paid review platform
- Just another generic travel blog
Looking Forward
Our stay in Germany continues, and so does the learning journey. As long as the information remains useful, I’ll keep documenting what we discover.
If you have questions about family life in Berlin or anywhere in Germany, don't hesitate to get in touch.
Warm regards,
Anna
